Kyiv law enforcement officers exposed a 42-year-old Kyiv resident who was involved in the illegal sale of firearms found in the combat zone. This was reported by the Kyiv Police Press Service.
As law enforcement established, the dealer sought out customers online. After full payment for the order, he sent the “merchandise”—rifles and submachine guns—via regular mail. The suspect asked his wife to take the packages to the post office for delivery to customers.
Law enforcement officers documented the dealer’s sale of a submachine gun and a rifle. The amounts received from the illegal sales ranged from 7,000 to 18,000 UAH per unit. It was established that the weapons were captured, which the dealer found in the combat zone.
Currently, investigators from the Shevchenkivskyi Police Department, under the procedural guidance of the Shevchenkivskyi District Prosecutor’s Office, have notified the man of his status as a suspect under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—illegal handling of weapons.
