A military base housing Iskander missiles caught fire in Crimea following a nighttime attack
Social media reports indicate a fire at an occupiers’ facility.
In the temporarily occupied Crimea, a Russian military unit caught fire on the night of April 28 following an attack. According to open-source data, the facility may have housed Iskander operational-tactical missile systems.
"Following a nighttime attack in Crimea, a military unit where Russia stores its Iskanders was on fire, according to the monitoring group 'Crimean Wind,' citing satellite imagery," the report states.
It is noted that the fire occurred south of the village of Mizhhirya in the Bilohirsk district on the territory of the former missile unit—military unit 82717.
The Telegram channel noted that this facility had already been targeted. On April 16, SBU drones struck two bases housing Iskander operational-tactical missile systems (OTRS) near the settlements of Mizhhirya and Kurortne.
