A Transneft oil pumping station burned for 12 days in Perm

An oil pumping station in Russia stopped burning 12 days after the attack, allowing for the confirmation that six fuel tanks had been destroyed. As a result of the incident, the facility has effectively been put out of commission, significantly hampering the operations of the local oil refinery.

This was reported by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.

During the fire at the Perm linear production and dispatch station, the neighboring oil refinery also suffered a series of strikes that damaged the AVT-4 primary oil refining unit. The loss of infrastructure critically affects the logistics of raw material supply in the region. The resulting damage confirms the large-scale impact on the occupiers’ fuel sector.

The Lukoil-Permnaftorgsintez oil refinery in Perm came under attack again on May 8. This is the third attack in recent days on a strategic facility of the Russian oil refining industry, located more than 1,500 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

In Russia, 13 airports were temporarily shut down following a drone attack on the administrative building of the Southern Russia Air Navigation branch.
