A bus carrying Polish tourists overturned in Turkey
A traffic accident involving a bus carrying Polish tourists occurred in Antalya, Turkey. The driver of a passenger car was killed in the accident, and 12 other Polish citizens sustained minor injuries.
The accident occurred early in the morning in southern Turkey.
According to preliminary reports, a passenger car collided with the bus, causing the bus to roll onto its side.
According to Maciej Wewur, a spokesperson for the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there were 30 Polish tourists on board the bus.
As a result of the accident, 12 passengers sustained minor injuries. All of the injured were hospitalized for medical observation, and none of them suffered life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the passenger car died at the scene of the accident.
Turkish law enforcement authorities are currently investigating the causes of the traffic accident. According to unofficial reports, the driver of the passenger car may have fallen asleep or lost consciousness at the wheel, after which he veered into the oncoming lane, where the collision occurred.
The Polish Consul in Turkey is maintaining constant contact with the victims, their families, and the tour operator.
