Authorities conducted nearly 60 searches of officials over possible corruption

As part of the large-scale "Aesculapius" operation, law enforcement officials conducted approximately 60 simultaneous searches at the offices of representatives of military medical commissions (MMCs) and expert teams for assessing an individual’s daily functioning (EATADF).

According to the investigation, the checks are focusing on potential corruption violations and inaccurate asset declarations.

The National Police note that the discrepancies found between officials’ declared and actual assets range from 2 to 11 million hryvnias in each case, with the total amount potentially reaching approximately 200 million hryvnias.

Among the identified assets are undeclared property belonging to relatives, cars, apartments, houses, land plots, and cash. In some cases, expenditures significantly exceeded official incomes.

Law enforcement officials also emphasize that they are investigating the possible laundering of funds through financial transactions.

In total, 58 searches were conducted at the suspects’ residences and in vehicles across various regions of the country.

During the investigative actions, the following were seized:

  • vehicles, including a 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE 300D;
  • cash in Ukrainian and foreign currencies;
  • medical documents and materials from the Medical Examination Commission;
  • contracts, checks, and financial documents totaling amounts ranging from 600,000 to over 1 million UAH.

It is separately noted that the seized materials may indicate the possible laundering of illicit proceeds.

Over the course of several days, more than 230 administrative reports were filed for violations of financial control requirements.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. Law enforcement officials continue to gather evidence and are preparing potential notices of suspicion for those involved in the case.

This was reported by the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police.
