Two young Ukrainians were kidnapped in Wrocław, with the kidnappers demanding money from them — RMF 24
In the Polish city of Wrocław, law enforcement officers detained four foreigners who had kidnapped two 20-year-old Ukrainian citizens, held them captive in a restaurant basement, and demanded money.
The attackers used physical violence and torture against the victims in an attempt to extract as much of their savings as possible.
The perpetrators have already been taken into custody and now face severe punishment for the serious crimes they committed.
The criminal incident occurred in late May of this year according to a premeditated plan. According to the investigation, under the pretext of providing a service, one of the Ukrainians was lured into a courtyard on Bardzka Street, and the other to a parking lot on Świradowska Street.
At these locations, the attackers forcibly dragged the young men into cars and subsequently transported them to the basement of a restaurant located in the old part of the city.
In the basement, the kidnappers threatened the Ukrainians and used violence against them, completely depriving them of their freedom.
The criminal group’s main goal was to obtain quick financial gain at the expense of their intimidated victims.
The organizers of the attack forced the young men to give them the passwords to their banking apps and to borrow money from acquaintances.
Investigators are currently determining the exact amount of damages incurred. Thanks to swift action, police identified and subsequently detained four kidnappers.
This was reported by Polish radio station RMF 24, citing official data from local police authorities.
