Ukrainian drones impressed a U.S. senator during his visit

During his visit to Ukraine, U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal toured a facility that manufactures drones for the front lines and acknowledged that he was impressed by the pace of Ukraine’s technological advancements in this field. According to him, Ukraine today is not merely using drones on the battlefield but is actually setting a new pace for the development of military technology worldwide. Blumenthal made this statement during a briefing in Kyiv, as reported by hromadske.

During the briefing in Kyiv, Blumenthal said he had visited one of Ukraine’s drone manufacturing plants, where engineers work daily on new solutions for the military. He emphasized that what he saw is changing perceptions of modern warfare, as aerial, ground, and underwater robotic systems have already become a key element of combat operations. “America needs to become more flexible and adaptive. Ukrainians are literally teaching us lessons every day,” the senator said.

He emphasized that the pace of development in Ukraine’s drone industry is so rapid that even experienced politicians and experts find it difficult to fully grasp the scale of the changes. “I can’t say I fully understand this technology, but what Ukraine is teaching America is truly incredible,” Blumenthal added.

According to him, the world is at a point where robotic systems will determine the advantage on the battlefield, and Ukraine is already one of the main centers of these changes. The senator also noted that the experience of Ukrainian engineers and military personnel could serve as an important lesson for the U.S. in the future.

Testing of the new European air defense system Freya, which is touted as a more affordable alternative to the American Patriot system, may begin in Ukraine in the near future.
