The sale of fuel to civilians has been completely halted in Crimea

A complete ban on the sale of fuel to the civilian population has been imposed in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

Starting at 9:00 a.m. on June 21, gas stations have stopped selling fuel—whether for cash, by card, or with vouchers—to both individuals and businesses.

Aksyonov stated that fuel will henceforth be supplied only to government agencies and organizations that ensure the functioning and security of the peninsula.

Earlier reports indicated disruptions in gasoline sales in Sevastopol, where the sale of fuel using previously issued vouchers had already been restricted.

This was announced by the so-called head of the occupation administration, Sergey Aksyonov.

Previously, in the temporarily occupied city of Sevastopol, the consequences of a critical shortage of petroleum products were observed, forcing local car owners to manually push their own vehicles while waiting in lines at gas stations.

Following a sharp rise in fuel prices in the temporarily occupied Crimea, the Moscow-controlled authorities announced the introduction of fixed prices for gasoline and diesel.

In the temporarily occupied Crimea, fuel problems could escalate into a much more serious crisis. Due to logistical difficulties on the peninsula, prices have already begun to rise, lines are forming, and residents are increasingly stocking up on essential goods.

The shortage of automotive fuel, which was previously observed in the temporarily occupied Crimea, has begun to spread to the southern regions of the Russian Federation. Residents of the Krasnodar Krai and the Rostov Oblast are reporting shortages of gasoline and diesel fuel.
