Armenia has stated that its cooperation with the U.S. and the EU is not directed against Russia
Armenia's cooperation with the United States and the European Union is not directed against Russia.
This was reported by News.am, citing Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.
He made these remarks in response to a statement by Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu, who claimed that the Armenian leadership is allegedly seeking “protection directly from the source of the threat.”
“Our cooperation with any country is not directed against a third country. Armenia’s cooperation with the U.S. and the EU is not directed against Russia. Cooperation with Russia is not directed against the U.S., China, or Iran,” Mirzoyan stated.
He also emphasized that Yerevan is interested in constructive dialogue with Moscow on all issues.
Earlier, Armenia appealed to the EU to send a rapid response team to counter Russian influence.
