The West intensifies destructive actions in the South Caucasus, says Russian Foreign Ministry official
The West is provoking tensions in the South Caucasus, aiming to drive a wedge between the region’s countries and Russia, stated Mikhail Kalugin, Director of the CIS Countries Department at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. At the same time, Moscow expressed interest in participating in the "Trump Route TRIPP" project.

According to Kalugin, these actions increase instability and threaten regional security. He emphasized that Russia seeks an active role in regional initiatives, supporting cooperation among South Caucasus nations. Participation in the "Trump Route TRIPP" project is intended to foster partnerships and promote regional development.
Russia is expected to continue strengthening diplomatic ties in the region and counter external efforts to destabilise it.
