The deputy head of the Security Service of Ukraine in Rivne Oblast was caught taking a bribe in connection with amber mining
Based on information from the SBU’s Internal Security Directorate and under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine, Colonel Ihor Briku, deputy head of the SBU in Rivne Oblast, was detained while accepting a bribe of $620,000.
This was reported by sources to UA.News.

According to preliminary information, the extortion of an unlawful benefit was in exchange for permits related to amber mining.
The detention was confirmed in a Telegram post by MP Oleksiy Goncharenko. He added that the deputy head of the SBU in the Kyiv region was also detained.
As a reminder, on March 15, the SBU detained a NABU employee at the entrance to Sumy, but he was later released after all the circumstances were clarified.
