Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Alex Karp, CEO of Palantir Technologies, during which the two discussed the development of a technological partnership in the fields of defense and artificial intelligence.
The head of state announced this on Telegram.
Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine is gradually expanding its cooperation with the American defense and technology sector.
“A good meeting with Palantir Technologies CEO Alex Karp. Step by step, we are developing cooperation with the U.S. defense sector,” the president noted.
According to him, Palantir is a global company with significant technological potential, and both sides see mutual benefit in cooperating to strengthen the security of Ukraine, the U.S., and other countries.
“We discussed areas of technological development in the context of both military operations and civilian needs. We agreed that our teams will stay in touch,” Zelenskyy added.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov reported that the key topic of the talks was expanding the partnership in the field of AI solutions and defense tech projects.
According to him, Ukraine is already collaborating with Palantir in a number of areas, including:
- developing systems for analyzing airstrikes;
- using AI to process intelligence data;
- integrating technologies into the planning of deep strike operations.
Separately, Fedorov mentioned the joint Brave1 Dataroom project, created in collaboration with Palantir. This is a platform where Ukrainian developers gain access to battlefield data to train AI models.
According to him, more than 100 companies are already working with the system and training over 80 models to detect and intercept aerial targets.
Fedorov emphasized the importance of collaborating with the world’s leading technology companies:
“Today, technology, AI, data analysis, and the mathematics of war directly influence the outcome on the battlefield,” he noted.
The minister also added that Palantir is one of the global market leaders in defense AI solutions and ranks among the most highly capitalized technology companies in the U.S.
“It is important that Ukraine has the opportunity to use the world’s best technologies. I thank our partners for their cooperation and support of Ukraine,” Fedorov concluded.
Earlier, the President of Ukraine held talks with the leader of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, regarding the defense of the Gulf region and joint countermeasures against threats. The head of state expressed support for the Emirates in light of recent attacks by Iran and noted that Ukraine’s experience in the security sector helps partners build their defenses.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also held telephone talks with Finnish President Alexander Stubb, during which the leaders coordinated their steps ahead of a series of important international meetings.
