The Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated another 1,020 Russian soldiers on the front lines over the past 24 hours
As of May 12, 2026, the Russian army’s total combat losses since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine have reached approximately 1,343,050 troops. In the past 24 hours alone, the Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated another 1,020 invaders.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
Ukrainian defenders also destroyed a significant amount of Russian equipment and weapons over the past day.
The Russian Federation’s total losses since February 24, 2022, are as follows:

- armored combat vehicles – 24,553 (+2);
- artillery systems – 41,935 (+72);
- multiple launch rocket systems – 1,785 (+2);
- air defense systems – 1,373 (+0);
- aircraft – 435 (+0);
- helicopters – 352 (+0);
- tactical-level UAVs – 285,506 (+1,252);
- cruise missiles – 4,585 (+0);
- ships and boats – 33 (+0);
- submarines – 2 (+0);
- Vehicles and tankers – 95,855 (+145);

The General Staff noted that data on Russian troop losses is being updated.
On May 11, 133 combat engagements between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian troops were recorded along the front line. The heaviest fighting took place in the Pokrovsk direction, where the enemy attempted to storm Ukrainian positions 26 times.
Since the start of the day on May 11, the Russian army has carried out 38 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian defenders, focusing its main efforts on the Pokrovsk direction.
