Zelenskyy confirmed that Flamingo struck a factory in Cheboksary, 900 km from the front line
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the use of FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles against a facility in Cheboksary, Russia, which manufactures components for Russian military weapons. According to reports, the facility in question manufactures components for “Shahid,” “Iskander,” and “Kalibr” missiles. The missiles traveled approximately 900 kilometers to strike the target deep within Russian territory.
The president emphasized that Ukraine continues to strike Russian military facilities and oil industry enterprises. He also expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian military for the effective execution of such operations.
In particular, he confirmed that last night, Ukrainian FP-5 Flamingo drones struck a military factory in
Cheboksary that supplies the occupying army with components for drones and missiles.
Moreover, according to him, the “Kuibyshevsky” oil refinery in the Samara region, located more than 900 kilometers from the front line, was also struck. The president thanked the Special Operations Forces (SSO), the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense (GUR MO) for this operation.
“We also carried out a fully justified strike by the SBU on two oil infrastructure facilities in the Vladimir region, 700 kilometers away. Thank you to everyone who is fighting and working for Ukraine,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy concluded.
The General Staffhas released a map of combat operations in Ukraine as of June 5, 2026.
On June 4, the General Staff updated the map ofhostilities and recorded 279 clashes.
Earlier, the Main Intelligence Directorate reported on drones with a range of up to 3,500 km.
