Zelenskyy said that Ukraine will close its budget deficit by the end of the year

Ukraine plans to fully eliminate the state budget deficit by the end of 2026. It also intends to use a portion of the funds raised to finance the procurement of drones in early 2027.

According to him, efforts to cover the deficit have been ongoing for the past few months. He noted that this was facilitated by cooperation with international partners, particularly the European Union, as well as a review of domestic budget expenditures.

 They plan to draw down part of the funds allocated for next year ahead of schedule so that they can order the necessary number of drones for the Ukrainian military as early as January–February 2027.

Earlier, Koretsky spoke about Ukraine’s preparations for the heating season.

Earlier, Koretsky promised that payments to military personnel would be made consistently and in full.

In Ukraine’s draft state budget for 2027, the base pay for military personnel was left at approximately 20,000 hryvnias.
