The Sultan of Brunei's fleet includes 450 Ferrari cars — Supercarblondie

The Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah, owns such a vast collection of Ferrari cars that its size exceeds the population of the Vatican.

This unique collection of Italian supercars comprises 450 vehicles of various models and is part of the ruler’s massive fleet.

The total value of the monarch’s entire fleet is estimated at billions of dollars.

In total, the legendary private collection of the Sultan of Brunei consists of 7,000 cars and is valued at $5 billion. The ruler’s specialized facilities feature a whole range of luxury global brands—from Jaguar to Bentley.

However, Italian supercars from Maranello traditionally attract the most interest among experts and car enthusiasts.

To illustrate the scale of this collection, journalists cited demographic data on the world’s smallest state. Only 250 people reside permanently in the Vatican.

In other words, the Bruneian monarch could easily give one Ferrari to every resident of the Vatican, and still have two hundred luxury cars left at his disposal.

It is noteworthy that the popes themselves have long been fond of this Italian car brand, from Pope Leo XIII to Pope John Paul II.

Hassanal Bolkiah’s vast collection features an incredible variety of classic, concept, and ultra-rare models.

Among the gems of the fleet, the 250 LM racing model stands out, as well as the rare 365 GTS/4 Daytona Spider convertible, which was specially converted to an automatic transmission for the monarch.

The sultan also owns a unique 512 BB Koenig Special supercar and five exclusive 288 GTOs painted in non-standard colors.

In addition, the Brunei ruler’s hangars house one of only six 288 GTO Evoluzione cars ever produced. The monarch is known for his passion for buying unique cars in entire series or small production runs.

In particular, he has amassed a vast collection of Testarossa Spiders in his garage—he owns eight of them.

The list of unique acquisitions also includes exclusive and concept models from the Italian brand, which were produced in limited batches to individual orders.

The Sultan owns all six F90 models ever produced, three Mythos concept cars, and six of the seven existing examples of the FX supercar. Additionally, the collection includes six exclusive 456 GT Venice station wagons created by Pininfarina.
