CEER to unveil electric sedan and SUV in Saudi Arabia on September 21
Saudi automotive company CEER will hold the world premiere of its first flagship models — an electric sedan and an SUV — in Saudi Arabia on September 21. Asharq Al-Awsat reports the presentation date.
CEER CEO James DeLuca said the company has designated 2026 as the “Year of CEER.” According to him, the presentation will be the result of work on design, engineering development and the creation of a manufacturing complex.
PIF and Foxconn joint venture
CEER was founded in 2022 as a joint venture between the Public Investment Fund and Foxconn. The company says it is the only automaker in Saudi Arabia that designs, develops, procures components, validates and manufactures, and subsequently plans to sell and service its vehicle lineup.

According to CEER, its workforce has grown from 20 to 2,300 employees. The manufacturer has also entered into partnerships with BMW, Hyundai Transys, Rimac, Siemens, Sabelt, Isoclima, ANDRITZ Schuler, Dürr, Lear, Benteler and other international companies, as well as Saudi companies Zamil Group, Abdul Latiff Jameel Group and APICO (Balubaid Group).
Production localization targets
CEER aims to achieve 45% local content in production by 2034. The company develops and tests vehicles taking into account the needs of Saudi Arabia and the region.
CEER forecasts that its operations could add $8 billion to Saudi Arabia’s GDP, improve the country’s trade balance by $21 billion and create around 30,000 direct and indirect jobs. The company estimates that Saudi Arabian citizens should fill 80% of direct positions. The project is linked to the Saudi Vision 2030 program and the Saudi Green Initiative’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2060.
