Li Auto to unveil Li 6 electric crossover in France
Chinese automaker Li Auto will unveil the European version of the i6 electric crossover at the Paris Motor Show in France in October. In the European market, the brand will use the name Li, and the model will be sold as the Li 6, InsideEVs reports.
At the show, the company plans to disclose information about its global model range and market-entry plans, as well as present its strategy for Europe and future product plan in more detail. Earlier this year, Li Auto said it was targeting entry into the European market in the second half of the year.
Change in expansion plans
Li Auto operates primarily in the Chinese market and has cautiously begun operations in the Middle East outside it. In 2023, the company's CEO, Li Xiang, said that the manufacturer was not planning global expansion until 2028. Now, the i6 is set to become the brand's first vehicle intended for Europe.

The company has two model lines. The L series consists of SUVs with range-extender systems: the vehicles run on electricity, while a gasoline engine is used to extend driving range after the main battery is depleted. The i series includes fully electric models.
Specifications of the version for China
The Li Auto i6 is a five-seat crossover and one of the brand's best-selling models in China, where it competes with the Tesla Model Y. All Chinese versions of the i6 are equipped with an 87.3 kWh battery. The vehicle is available with a single 335 hp electric motor on the rear axle or with two motors producing a combined 536 hp in the all-wheel-drive version.
The claimed range of the Chinese model reaches 447 miles under the CLTC standard, which the source describes as less stringent. The manufacturer has not yet disclosed the technical specifications of the European Li 6 version. In China, the i6 has a starting price of about $36,000.
