Genesis unveiled the GV90 electric SUV with a claimed range of approximately 500 km
Genesis has unveiled the GV90, its flagship electric SUV—the largest model in the brand’s lineup and its first full-size SUV with three rows of seats. The 2027 model year vehicle was developed based on the Neolun concept, which was unveiled in 2024, according to Motor1.
The GV90 will be available in a standard version and a GV90 Neolun variant. The latter will feature the Neolun Arch Gate design with a hidden structural element in place of the traditional central body pillar, and doors that open independently of one another toward each other. For the rear doors, Genesis has developed hinges with a dual-motion mechanism: first, the doors swing slightly outward, and then they pivot without interfering with the front doors.
The SUV is 208.1 inches long, or about 5.29 meters, and has a wheelbase of 127.8 inches, or approximately 3.25 meters. Buyers will be offered 22- or 24-inch forged wheels and a choice of 16 body colors, 13 of which will be glossy and three matte. According to the company, the model’s design is inspired by a traditional Korean ceramic vessel known as the “moon vase.”

The electric vehicle is built on the eMP platform, developed by Genesis for its flagship models. It is equipped with a 123.5 kWh battery—the largest among Hyundai Motor Group’s electric vehicles. Two electric motors on the front and rear axles together produce 657 k.s. and 590 lb-ft of torque. Genesis estimates the range of the seven-seater version at approximately 500 km. According to the automaker, 350 kW DC fast charging should recharge the battery from 10% to 80% in 22 minutes.
Featured equipment includes a multi-chamber air suspension, electronically controlled shock absorbers, rear-wheel steering, and electronic limited-slip differentials on both axles. In the GV90 Neolun, the front seats can rotate 180 degrees when the vehicle is parked. This version can be ordered with four seats, a heated wooden floor in the second row, a privacy partition, a refrigerator, and a roof with variable transparency.
The interior also features a 23.6-inch OLED display that rises when the car is parked to form a 24.6-inch screen, a 25-inch projection display, a Bang & Olufsen audio system with 25 speakers, and the Pleos Connect multimedia system based on Android Automotive. Genesis has not yet announced pricing or availability details.
