Tesla receives approval to launch FSD in Croatia — Channel NewsAsia
Tesla has received approval in Croatia to deploy the supervised Full Self-Driving (FSD) system. The nationwide rollout of the software is expected to begin soon, Channel NewsAsia reports, citing Reuters.
Expansion in Europe
Croatia has joined the list of European countries that have approved the technology. The Dutch regulator RDW authorized the use of the system in April, after which Belgium and several other countries made similar decisions. Slovenia, which borders Croatia, approved the system earlier in September.

The issue of EU-wide approval
RDW has also proposed approving the software for use throughout the European Union. At the same time, a safety group and several EU countries have expressed concerns about the system's ability to exceed established speed limits.
The issue has become one of the most controversial in Tesla's push to introduce the FSD system in Europe. The company considers a European launch important for increasing sales and restoring market share amid intensifying competition from Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers. The expected vote on launching the system in the EU was postponed from October; the next opportunity to make a decision is expected no earlier than December. Approval requires a qualified majority: at least 15 of the 27 EU member states, representing 65% of the bloc's population.
