In Poland, Audi A6 e-tron sets Guinness record on a single charge — InsideEVs

In Poland, the Audi A6 e-tron Sportback electric vehicle traveled 1,338 kilometers without recharging and set a Guinness World Record for the longest distance covered by an electric car on a single charge. According to InsideEVs, the car was driven by rally driver Miko Marczyk.

Route to the Hel Peninsula

The run started at 1:55 a.m. on September 11. Marczyk set off in a production Audi A6 e-tron Sportback, drove across Poland along the Vistula River to the town of Hel on the Baltic peninsula, and then returned. The entire trip lasted 45 hours, with the average air temperature at around 15 degrees Celsius.

According to Audi, the test took place in normal traffic conditions. The electric vehicle covered 831 miles, or 1,338 kilometers, on a single battery charge. Average energy consumption was 7.09 kWh per 100 kilometers.

Range and specifications

The record-setting vehicle had an available battery capacity of 94.9 kWh, an output of 367 horsepower, and could accelerate to 62 mph in 5.4 seconds. Audi attributes the result to the model's aerodynamics: the A6 e-tron's drag coefficient is 0.21. The company said aerodynamic drag accounts for about 40% of the electric A6's energy consumption.

Last year, Lucid claimed a Guinness record in this category after a Lucid Air Grand Touring traveled 749 miles on a route from Switzerland to Germany.
