The State Emergency Service has completed emergency response and recovery operations at the site of the strike on a five-story building in Kyiv

Emergency repair work has been completed in Kyiv’s Shevchenkivskyi district at the site of a Russian strike on a residential building on the night of May 24.

As a result of the attack, the Russian strike destroyed the stairwell of the five-story building from the first to the fifth floor. Two people were killed at this location.

In total, two people were killed in Kyiv as a result of that massive attack, and another 92 were injured, including three children. Rescuers managed to save 13 people.

Rescuers, medical personnel, utility services, psychologists, volunteers, and law enforcement officers worked continuously at the site for two days.

During the operation, over 165 square meters of dangerous reinforced concrete structures were dismantled, and more than 1,080 cubic meters of construction debris were removed. K-9 units searched 100 square meters of the destroyed building for survivors.

A total of 871 rescue workers and 201 pieces of equipment were deployed to address the aftermath of the Russian attack in Kyiv. Psychological assistance was provided to 320 victims.
