The number of casualties from the Russian strike on May 24 has risen in Kyiv
As a result of the Russian Federation’s massive combined attack on Kyiv over the weekend, the number of casualties has risen to 91 due to new reports from Kyiv residents seeking medical attention. Rescue and emergency restoration efforts are currently underway in the Podil and Shevchenkivskyi districts of the capital, where two people were killed as a result of enemy shelling.
This was reported by Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, in a Telegram post.
The State Emergency Service is currently focusing its efforts on the site of the destroyed five-story residential building. Sixteen pieces of specialized equipment and 53 rescue workers have been deployed to address the aftermath. During the operation, SES specialists are utilizing heavy engineering and robotic equipment.
