The Podilsky District Court in Kyiv was damaged following a Russian missile strike

The building of the Podil District Court in Kyiv was damaged during a Russian missile attack on May 24. Windows were shattered and part of the interior structure was destroyed, but the court continues to operate as usual. Other government buildings in the capital were also damaged. This was reported by the court.

In Kyiv, another nighttime missile attack left its mark not only on residential buildings but also on government institutions, including the Podilskyi District Court, whose building was struck on May 24, sustaining serious damage to its work areas.

According to the court itself, the blast wave shattered windows in the judges’ chambers and offices, damaged doors and parts of the ceiling structures; however, despite this, the institution has not halted operations and continues to receive citizens and hold hearings as scheduled, as if trying to maintain its usual rhythm even amid constant destruction.

The courthouse is located on Khoriva Street, and it was this very area that was affected by the shockwave, which struck several buildings in the city at once, once again underscoring the scale of the attack and its consequences for the capital’s civilian infrastructure.

In addition to the Podil District Court, the Kyiv Interregional Office of the Ministry of Justice and the building of the Solomyanskyi District Court were also damaged, indicating the widespread nature of the damage to government facilities during the shelling.

We previously reported that a second request was submitted to the High Council of Justice on behalf of Alona Volodymyrivna Shevtsova regarding Judge Volodymyr Yaroslavovych Marmash of the Lychakiv District Court in Lviv.

Recall how Judge Marmash and BEB detectives establish the rules of judicial proceedings at their own discretion.

Previously, a disciplinary complaint was under consideration by the High Council of Justice on behalf of Alona Volodymyrivna Shevtsova regarding Judge Volodymyr Yaroslavovych Marmash of the Lychakiv District Court of Lviv, who committed gross violations bordering on disciplinary and criminal liability during, in particular, considering a motion by BEB detectives to conduct a special pre-trial investigation regarding Alona V. Shevtsova.

The complaint against Marmash is that he issued his decision after the pre-trial investigation period had already expired, which made it impossible to grant the motion. The only lawful option in such a situation was to return the motion; however, Judge Marmash V.Y. failed to comply with the requirements of the law.
