A court in Kyiv has ordered the demolition of a building on Muromets Island
In Kyiv, the Commercial Court, acting on a lawsuit filed by the Desnianskyi District Prosecutor’s Office, annulled the unlawful registration of ownership rights to a non-residential building with an area of 905.7 square meters located on Muromets Island.
This was officially reported by the press service of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.
The court ruling ordered the commercial company to return the land plot to the capital’s territorial community by completely dismantling the specified structure and all associated structures.
The disputed land plot, with an area of 0.1224 hectares, belongs to a special category of land designated for nature reserves, water resources, and protected landscapes.
Its designated purpose is exclusively for the operation and maintenance of hydraulic engineering or other water management structures and canals.

Despite this, the offenders attempted to appropriate the protected territory through fictitious legal procedures.
During the court hearing, prosecutors fully proved the fact of large-scale use of forged documents for the initial registration of ownership rights in the name of an individual.
Subsequently, the property was illegally transferred to the authorized capital of a private company to legalize the scheme.
At the same time, the Kyiv City Council did not allocate the land plot, valued at nearly four million hryvnias, to anyone, and the title documents for it were never registered.
There are also no permits whatsoever from the relevant regulatory authorities for construction work on the island.
Furthermore, based on its technical specifications, the completed structure is only a temporary structure, so by law it could not have been registered as permanent real estate at all.
Prosecutors intervened in a timely manner and blocked the further alienation of municipal property.
