Kyivgaz has filed a lawsuit against a religious organization over a debt

Kyivgaz JSC filed a lawsuit with the Kyiv Commercial Court against the religious organization “Missionary Society ‘Protestant Movement’,” demanding the collection of nearly 286,000 UAH in arrears for natural gas distribution services.

According to court documents, the parties are bound by a standard gas distribution agreement, concluded by adhering to the terms approved by the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC). “Kyivgaz” claims that the organization has not paid for the services provided, resulting in a debt of 285,96 thousand UAH.

Initially, the court stayed the proceedings due to procedural deficiencies, but after these were resolved, it opened the case. The case was deemed of minor significance and will be heard under a simplified procedure without summoning the parties. The defendant has 15 days to file its objections.

In 2026, the gas distribution rate for non-residential consumers of “Kyivgaz” is 0.552 UAH per cubic meter, including VAT. The distribution service is billed separately from the cost of the natural gas itself.
