Kyivpastrans plans to purchase mobile shelters, but not anytime soon
The municipal enterprise “Kyivpastrans” has announced a tender for the purchase of the first 14 temporary mobile shelters made of reinforced concrete, which will be financed using the enterprise’s own funds. According to the Kyiv City State Administration, these structures are expected to appear on the capital’s streets in 2027.
The shelters are designed to provide temporary protection for citizens in the event of shelling. They are primarily planned to be installed at public transit stops, where the need for such protective structures is most urgent.
According to technical specifications, each shelter will have an area of at least 30 square meters and will accommodate up to 50 people, based on 0.6 square meters per person. The shelters will be equipped with two entrances marked with directional signs, a ventilation system, lighting, fire extinguishers, seating areas, and a special section for people in wheelchairs and parents with strollers.

Previously, Klitschko complained that it is impossible to officially use mobile shelters in the capital because no state building codes (DBN) have been developed for them.
As a reminder, in Zaporizhzhia, there are plans to install special modular shelters in the courtyards of high-rise buildings.
