The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on the heads of Ukrainian diplomatic missions abroad to engage international partners in the restoration of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, which has been damaged by Russian attacks.
Deputy Foreign Minister Mariana Betsa emphasized that Russia is deliberately targeting Ukraine’s cultural heritage, and that the restoration of the Lavra is important not only for preserving historical monuments but also for preserving Ukrainian identity.
She also called on diplomats to organize visits by foreign leaders to damaged cultural sites so they can see the consequences of Russian strikes with their own eyes. According to Betsa, this helps strengthen international support for Ukraine.
