Air defense systems are active in the Kyiv region due to a drone attack
Russian drones have been detected in the Kyiv region. Air defense forces are on alert in the region due to the air attack. Residents have been urged to remain in shelters and not to film the defenders at work.
The Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported the movement of Russian drones. “Enemy UAVs have been detected! Air defense forces are operating in the region,” the statement reads.
Authorities have urged residents of the region not to take photos or videos of Ukrainian air defense operations. People are also asked not to disregard safety rules during an air attack. “Remain in shelters until the air raid alert ends,” the Kyiv Regional Military Administration emphasized.

On the night of August 8, Russian forces attacked the Kyiv region with strike drones. As a result of the attack in the village of Pukhivka, three members of the same family were killed—a grandfather, a grandmother, and their three-year-old grandson.

On the night of July 19, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile strike on Kyiv. One person was killed and eight others were injured as a result of the attack. Damage and fires were reported in five districts of the capital.
Throughout the day on July 17, Russian forces carried out strikes on Kharkiv and 29 other settlements in the Kharkiv region. Two people were killed and 18 others were injured as a result of the shelling; among the injured were five children.
