Russia attacked the Kyiv region with drones; there is damage
On the morning of September 20, Russian forces attacked the Kyiv region with drones. In Boyarka, a warehouse containing finished products at an industrial enterprise was damaged, and in Novosilky, a strike on a private enterprise was reported. According to preliminary reports, no one was injured.
The Kyiv region came under attack by Russian drones on the morning of September 20. Damage to civilian and industrial facilities was reported in the Fastiv district. According to local authorities, reports of strikes and damage began coming in from various settlements. Currently, there are reports of damage in Boyarka and Novosilky. “The Boyarka community is under enemy attack. We are currently receiving reports of strikes and damage in various settlements within the community,” the community reported.
What Was Damaged in Boyarka
In Boyarka, a Russian attack damaged a finished goods warehouse at an industrial enterprise. Additionally, debris from downed Russian targets damaged the roadway and a nearby utility building.
The roof and windows of an apartment building were damaged. In addition, Peremoha Park and the Alley of Remembrance for Fallen Heroes were hit. Power outages may occur in some areas of Boyarka due to the attack. Community officials noted that the situation is still being assessed.
A private business was damaged in Novosilky
Another incident of damage was reported in the village of Novosilky. A private business there was struck. Details regarding the nature of the damage have not yet been reported.

A jet-powered drone was spotted near Boyarka
During the attack, the Ukrainian Air Force reported the movement of a jet-powered drone in the Boyarka area. At 10:40 a.m., the military detected a jet-powered UAV in the vicinity of the city. Later, at 12:26 p.m., the Air Force reported another jet-powered drone flying past Boyarka toward Vyshneve and Kyiv.
The attack on Kyiv and the surrounding region was still ongoing at that time. Residents were urged to remain in safe locations and not to ignore air raid sirens. Experts are currently continuing to assess the consequences of the Russian attack. Information regarding damage and possible new strikes may be updated. Due to fires in the Kyiv region, smoke and the smell of burning may be present in the capital. The Kyiv City State Administration advises residents of Kyiv’s right bank to close their windows, spend less time outdoors, and temporarily refrain from intense physical activity outdoors. At the same time, air quality readings in the southwestern outskirts of the capital currently remain within normal limits.
The death toll from Russian attacks in the Kyiv region has risen to four. A child who was injured during a strike on the Vyshhorod district died in the hospital. Among the dead are three children and a woman.
