Traffic on Naberezhne Highway will be partially restricted in Kyiv on May 26
On May 26, traffic on Naberezhne Highway in Kyiv’s Pecherskyi District will be partially restricted. According to Kyivavtodor, the restrictions will be in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the section from Podil toward the Metro Bridge. The restrictions are due to repair work on the storm sewer system.
This was reported by the Kyiv City State Administration.
During the work, traffic will be restricted to a single lane.
If weather conditions worsen, the schedule for the work may change.
The municipal corporation apologizes for the temporary inconvenience and asks that you take these restrictions into account when planning your route.
Within 20 hours, a petition calling for a ban on raising publictransit fares in Kyiv gathered signatures.
Earlier, a petition against fare hikes was registered in Kyiv.
As a reminder, Kyiv plans to raise public transit fares to 30 hryvnias per trip. The new fares may be introduced on July 15, 2026, following the completion of regulatory procedures and consultations with the public and labor unions.
In Lviv, public transit fares were raised on May 16, and now prices depend on the payment method and can reach 30 hryvnias per trip. Authorities attribute the fare increase to rising costs of fuel and vehicle maintenance.
