In Kyiv, an intoxicated man armed with an axe tried to steal a scooter from a teenager

In the Dnipro district of the capital, law enforcement officers detained a 30-year-old Kyiv resident who, while intoxicated, engaged in disorderly conduct on the street.

This was reported by the Kyiv Police.

The suspect first attempted to steal a vehicle from a minor, and after failing, began smashing trees and metal structures with an axe.

The incident took place on Serhiy Naboka Street, where the intoxicated man spotted a scooter belonging to a teenager.

When the boy refused the stranger’s request to “take it for a ride,” the enraged offender retrieved an angle grinder from the trunk of his own car.

Using the tool, the suspect attempted to cut the anti-theft chain securing the scooter to the building.

When his attempt at theft failed, the man’s aggression turned toward nearby objects and bystanders who witnessed the incident.

According to official law enforcement reports: “The enraged man grabbed an axe and, shouting obscenities, began striking trees and metal poles with it, greatly alarming passersby.”
