VIDEO: Police officers in Kyiv attacked Oleksandr Dubinsky's lawyer

In Kyiv, police officers from the Svyatoshyn Police Department assaulted attorney Alina Samaret.

This was reported by lawyer Oleksiy Shevchuk.

It is known that on the morning of July 10, in the Obolon district of the capital, officers from the Svyatoshinsky District Police Department attacked lawyer Alina Samarets, who officially represents Oleksandr Dubinsky in court.

As a reminder, Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Dubinsky is being held in pretrial detention on suspicion of treason and spreading Russian propaganda.

“This incident has caused a stir because the lawyer was physically injured and attacked while defending her clients. The lawyer was detained and is to be taken to the Svyatoshyn Police Department. The events surrounding this lawyer appear to be an attempt to prevent her from defending Oleksandr Dubinsky,” claims attorney Shevchuk.

The lawyer has already reported this incident to the Committee for the Protection of Lawyers’ Rights.

According to Oleksiy Shevchuk, the Minister of Internal Affairs should take personal control of this case, because if investigative actions were violated, then they were conducted unlawfully, and an attack on a lawyer constitutes a criminal offense.

As a reminder, MP Dubinsky was notified that he is suspected of treason due to subversive activities.

The court imposed a pretrial detention measure on MP Dubinsky.

Oleksandr Dubinsky was placed in pretrial detention in November 2023 on suspicion of collaborating with Russia’s GRU and participating in a criminal organization created to discredit Ukraine on the international stage.  Investigators have provided evidence that Dubinsky and other members of the group received over $10 million from Russian military intelligence, and the facts of their collaboration with hostile intelligence services remain the key argument for holding them in custody without the right to bail.
