The restoration of the "Mystetskyi Arsenal" National Cultural, Art, and Museum Complex, which was damaged in a Russian attack, will require at least tens of millions of hryvnias.

This was reported by the complex’s general director, Olesia Ostrovska-Lyuta.

According to her, the shelling damaged approximately 2,000 square meters of the roof and attic spaces. Damage assessment and preparations for restoration work are currently underway.

At the same time, the museum collection was not damaged, and all exhibits remain safe.

“The restoration process will take some time and cost at least tens of millions of hryvnias, and possibly more,” Ostrovska-Lyuta noted.

The museum’s management has already begun negotiations with potential donors, including international organizations, regarding funding for the reconstruction.

According to preliminary estimates, roof repairs must be completed before the start of winter.

Despite the damage, the “Mystetskyi Arsenal” plans to resume some cultural and artistic events this summer in the undamaged parts of the complex.

As a reminder, Russia attacked the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, causing a fire.

Prior to that, Russian KABs struck the Zaporizhzhia region, resulting in injuries.

Five State Emergency Service rescuers were killed as a result of the Russian attack on Kharkiv.
