AtHeart has released a remake of Roo'Ra's 1996 summer hit "3!4!"

The all-female K-pop group AtHeart has released a remake of the summer hit “3!4!” by the mixed-gender group Roo'Ra, which came out in 1996. The new version is part of the Time Travel Project, according to The Korea Herald.

The members of AtHeart presented the release at a showcase in Seoul. The average age of the group’s members is about 18, so the original song was released before they were even born. Bome said she was familiar with “3!4!” even before the decision to do a remake, and the group often listened to the song during rehearsals.

The original “3!4!” was written by Lee Hyun-do, who also contributed to the arrangement of AtHeart’s version. The song became one of Roo’Ra’s most recognizable tracks and is associated with the energetic summer pop music of that era.

Nahyun noted that her mother, a longtime fan of Roo'Ra member Chae Ri-na, advised her to study the singer’s performances. According to Michi, the members felt pressure due to the popularity of the original, but they strove to give the song their own fresh sound.

Nah-hyun also said that differences in the number and composition of members between the two groups allowed AtHeart to structure the vocal parts differently and use various vocal combinations. According to So-hyun, Chae Ri-na congratulated the AtHeart members on the remake and wished them success at the top of the music charts.

The single accompanies the time-travel drama “3+4!”, in which the members travel back and forth between the years 2026 and 1996. Nahyun shared that while working on the project, she saw a pager for the first time, as she had been using cell phones since birth.
