Bradley Cooper has joined the cast of the animated film "Ellie"

Bradley Cooper will voice one of the characters in a new animated project by South Korean director Bong Joon-ho. The film tells the story of a baby squid’s journey from the depths of the Pacific Ocean to the surface following the appearance of a mysterious flying object. 

This was reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

Production of the animated film will cost $60 million, which will be a record budget for South Korean cinema. The voice cast also includes Dave Bautista, Anya Edebiri, and Finn Wolfhard. The film’s global release is scheduled for the second half of 2027, following the completion of post-production.

This project marks the director of “Parasite”’s first foray into the feature-length animation genre. In addition to Hollywood stars, the project features actors Werner Herzog and Rachel House. The film is positioned as a family adventure set in the deep waters of the ocean.
