Minas Gerais Philharmonic Orchestra to hold educational concert in Ipatinga
The Minas Gerais Philharmonic Orchestra will hold a free educational concert for schoolchildren in the Brazilian city of Ipatinga on August 24, 2026. The performance will take place at Centro Cultural Usiminas from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. under the direction of Associate Conductor José Soares.
As The Rio Times reports, this is not an open concert for the general public. Only students from public and private schools who have reserved their participation in advance by phone at (31) 98437-3330 will be able to attend.
Access by prior registration
There will be no ticket sales or entry without prior registration. The event is part of the orchestra’s touring program in cities in the interior regions of Minas Gerais state.

The venue is also referred to in the announcement as Teatro Usiminas, a theater that is part of Centro Cultural Usiminas in Ipatinga.
Master class for musicians
On the same day, the orchestra will hold a free master class on leadership and collective conducting. Instrumentalists, music teachers, relevant students and aspiring conductors may take part.
To participate in the master class, registration is required at fil.mg/ipatinga2026. The concert and master class will provide interpretation in Brazilian Sign Language, Libras.
