King Abdulaziz Library branch in China wins two awards — Asharq Al-Awsat

The branch of the King Abdulaziz Public Library at Peking University won first prize and an excellence award at the 12th National Conference of the Foreign Languages University Library Alliance in China. The event was hosted by Tianjin Foreign Studies University on September 21–24.

Honors for services and research

As Asharq Al-Awsat reports, the branch received first prize for a professional initiative involving the joint provision of services by library staff and instructors of specialized academic disciplines.

The excellence award was granted for research into models of institutional partnership between foreign-language libraries and scholars. The report notes that this highlights the branch's role in combining academic research with modern library services.
