Actor Anatoly Pashinin left the Russian film industry to serve in Ukraine

Anatoliy Pashinin, an actor of Ukrainian descent who had spent many years building his career in Russia, returned to Ukraine after the outbreak of full-scale war and joined the Defense Forces.

Andriy Donchik, director of the series “Stolen Happiness,” said that Pashinin had moved to Russia after high school, where he went on to appear in numerous films and TV series. At the same time, the actor retained a strong command of the Ukrainian language, which caught the director’s attention.

After the full-scale invasion began, Pashinin left Russia and served in the Ukrainian military. Previously, he was a fighter in the Ukrainian Volunteer Army and served in the 8th Separate Battalion “Aratta.”

According to Donchik, the actor has all but disappeared from the public eye in recent years. The director noted that he last saw Pashinin about three years ago and does not know where he is now or whether he is still serving.

Before the war began, Pashinin was known for his roles in the Ukrainian TV series “Stolen Happiness,” as well as in a number of Russian films and TV series.
