Viktor Pavlik's anniversary concert at the Ukraine Palace ended in a scandal

On Sunday, March 22, 2026, the administration of the National Palace of Arts “Ukraine” issued an official statement regarding an unacceptable incident.

During the anniversary concert of People’s Artist of Ukraine Viktor Pavlik, a conflict arose involving the event’s producer and the singer’s wife, Kateryna Repyakova.

According to preliminary reports, an argument broke out backstage at the country’s main venue, during which the organizer directed profanity at Kateryna Mykolayivna. The “Ukraine” Palace emphasized that no technical difficulties during preparations justify such behavior toward a woman.

The venue’s management has already addressed the individual responsible for the incident, whose name has not been officially disclosed. It is reported that Kateryna Repyakova received a personal apology from the man who provoked this high-profile scandal within the venue.

“The administration expressed regret over the situation, which overshadowed the artist’s long-awaited return to the country’s main stage after a 10-year hiatus,” the statement notes. The organizers are striving to minimize reputational damage following the successful solo performance by the artist celebrating his anniversary.

Despite the lack of state funding and high security risks, Viktor Pavlik’s concert drew thousands of spectators and received rave reviews. A televised version of the show is soon set to air on major channels, so management is trying to resolve the conflict.

At the same time, the reaction of Ukrainians on social media has been mixed. Many commentators suggest that Kateryna Pavlik may have provoked the producer’s sharp reaction herself, given her previous media conflicts with the artist’s ex-wife, Larisa Sozaeva.

Kateryna Repyakova herself has repeatedly shared details of her personal life and legal disputes on her social media page. However, in this case, the official position of the “Ukraine” Palace unequivocally condemns the displays of aggression by the technical staff and management.

As a reminder, Lithuania canceled Dieter Bohlen’s concerts due to his support for Russia.

Also, Lina Kostenko is returning with a new book of poetry.
