K-pop group TWS prepares for its first concert in Singapore — Channel NewsAsia
K-pop group TWS will perform in Singapore for the first time on October 10 at Arena @ Expo. The group’s six members — Shinyu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon and Kyungmin — told Channel NewsAsia that they are preparing new song arrangements and unit performances for local fans.
Debut and the popularity of Plot Twist
TWS debuted in January 2024 under Pledis Entertainment with the mini-album Sparkling Blue. At the end of the same year, Plot Twist from that release became the most-streamed song of the year on South Korean platform Melon.
The name TWS is short for Twenty Four Seven With Us. The group defines its style as boyhood pop — music that tells stories about the everyday lives and experiences of young people through a bright and sentimental sound. The members have also released the songs Overdrive and You, You.
Shinyu explained that he considers TWS’s strength to be its desire to honestly convey the emotions and moments the group is experiencing now. Jihoon noted that the group’s music reflects its members and their current stage of development.

Plans for the show in Singapore
The concert in Singapore will take place as part of the 24/7: For: You tour. During this tour, TWS are performing in Singapore and Thailand for the first time. Youngjae called the Singapore performance an important milestone and the beginning of a new stage for the group.
Hanjin said that the members took part in songwriting and creating choreography for the concert program. He expressed hope that the first meeting with the Singapore audience would be memorable for both viewers and the group.
According to Youngjae, senior colleagues from Seventeen advised them not to be afraid of mistakes on stage and to show everything an artist wants to express. Dohoon also spoke about TWS’s desire to expand its musical range, and said that he personally would like to try the rage genre.
