Kyiv Customs has handed over confiscated historical artifacts to museums
Kyiv Customs has transferred rare cultural artifacts to Ukrainian museums; these items had previously been the subject of an attempt to illegally smuggle them abroad via international mail.
A decorative box from the early 20th century, manufactured at Vincent Norblin’s famous factory in Warsaw, was transferred to the “Hetman’s Capital” National Historical and Cultural Reserve. It is made of a special alloy called “Verit,” decorated with relief ornamentation, and retains its original factory mark.
The Cherkasy Regional Art Museum received two historic porcelain figurines—“The Pig Keeper” and “Tea Party”—created by renowned Ukrainian artists in the 20th century.
All items were seized by customs officials, confiscated by court order, and transferred to the state section of the Museum Fund of Ukraine.

In Italy, during the construction of a highway, workers stumbled upon the remains of an ancient sanctuary dating back to the 5th century BCE. The unique discovery was made near the town of Pons, located approximately 72 kilometers from Venice. After the artifacts were discovered, large-scale archaeological excavations began immediately at the site.
