Povaliy's estate to be sold to benefit the Armed Forces of Ukraine – video
Singer Taisiya Povaliy’s estate in Petropavlivska Borshchahivka has officially been transferred to the State Property Fund of Ukraine for subsequent sale at auction. The proceeds from the sale of the property will be allocated to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine following an independent appraisal of the property.
This was reported by tsn.ua.
The 440-square-meter house was confiscated by order of the High Anti-Corruption Court due to the artist’s treason, as she supported the actions of the Russian Federation. Inside the house, journalists found numerous portraits of the singer, certificates from the Moscow Patriarchate, and items indicating that the owners had fled in a hurry. In addition to the main building, the state seized a guest house, a swimming pool, and a sauna located on a plot of land spanning over 800 square meters.
Dmytro Natalukha, head of the State Property Fund, emphasized that the former owner will not be able to repurchase the property even through third parties, as she already holds a Russian passport. Preparations are currently underway to list the property on the Prozorro.Sales platform, where an open auction will take place. The transfer of the property to state ownership resulted from the sanctions policy targeting individuals who sided with the aggressor. Journalists noted that personal documents, music awards, and posters from performances in Grozny remained in the rooms. The proceeds will be used to fund Ukraine’s defense sector in accordance with current legislation on the confiscation of traitors’ assets. The estate is scheduled to be sold in the near future, as soon as all bureaucratic procedures for property valuation are completed.
As a reminder, Taisiya Povaliy obtained a Russian passport.
The Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor’s Office has referred the case of former deputy from the banned “Party of Regions,” artist Taisiya Povaliy, to court.
