Rappers Tezzus and Diamond talk ØWay crew and Young Thug tour — Rolling Stone
In the United States, Atlanta rappers Tezzus and Diamond spoke about the ØWay community, taking part in Young Thug’s New Generation Tour, and their own music projects. As Rolling Stone reports, before speaking with the publication, they performed in New York’s Central Park as part of Young Thug’s tour.
Tezzus is part of Young Thug’s revamped young YSL lineup. He concluded the project The Resurrectiøn with the track “ØWay,” whose opening lines became the basis for a viral trend. The rappers also call their company ØWay: depending on the intonation, the expression can be a greeting, a farewell, or a declaration of victory.
The crew on tour
According to Tezzus, 14 people from their circle went on tour. The artist is convinced that the friendship among the crew’s members will last regardless of how their music careers develop, because they grew up together rather than joining forces solely to record songs.
Tezzus and Diamond met when Diamond came to visit him, spending about an hour on the road. After that, as Tezzus jokingly recalled, Diamond “never left.” The performers acknowledge that conflicts occur in such a large group, but they can usually be resolved through conversation.

Releases and musical influences
After the Tezzus Khrist project, released in 2024, Tezzus presented, among other works, Tezzy Pendergrass. Diamond released Nø Idøls, which included their joint track “Bada Bing, Bada Bøøm.” They also recorded the track “Duality” with streamer Plaqueboymax and included it on their joint April mixtape UY Scuti Bøyz.
In June, Tezzus released The Resurrectiøn, while Diamond unveiled Bling Slime Vøl 1 in July, hosted by DJ Holiday. Tezzus named Young Thug as one of his musical influences and noted his ability to change his voice and intonation when telling stories in songs.
Diamond said that his father was a poet and that he initially tried to write poetry before starting to create lyrics over beats. Tezzus noted that he decided to become a rapper as a child, and his father bought him a CD player and three beat discs.
