Sarah Jessica Parker attended a performance by Ukrainian opera stars in New York

American actress Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick attended the final performance of the opera *Turandot* at the Metropolitan Opera, where the lead role was performed by Ukrainian soprano Lyudmila Monastyrska, with Oksana Lyniv conducting. 

Monastyrska replaced Russian soprano Anna Netrebko in this production, and Lyniv became the first Ukrainian female conductor in the history of this renowned theater. The cultural event was reported by Svitlana Melnyk, the wife of Andriy Melnyk, Ukraine’s Permanent Representative to the UN. 

According to the diplomat’s wife, she and her husband found themselves in the same box as Hollywood stars who were eager to attend this final performance of the season. After the opera ended, the Ukrainian diplomats invited the American actors backstage, where Parker and Broderick happily congratulated the Ukrainian artists on their success in person.
