Singer Rod Stewart announces final major tour — Anadolu Agency

British singer Rod Stewart has announced that his 2027 tour of the United Kingdom and Europe will be the final major tour of his career. The 81-year-old artist, who has performed for more than six decades, said he is not giving up music and does not rule out one-off concerts and performances in the future.

As Anadolu Agency reports, the tour, titled The Final Encore, will begin on April 23, 2027, at the 3Arena in Dublin. Stewart will then perform in Belfast, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and London, before concluding the tour on July 24 at the ZAG Arena in Hanover, Germany, following concerts in European countries.

Farewell to touring

In a statement, Stewart told fans that the time had come to say goodbye to life on the road. He thanked audiences for their support throughout his career and promised to put on a special show for them.

After The Final Encore concludes, two concerts are scheduled for September 2027 at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, United States. They were postponed from June 2026 because of inflammation that affected the performer's vocal cords.

Career and recent concerts

In August, Stewart canceled the remaining dates of his One Last Time U.S. tour after undergoing a coronary stent procedure. The musician's representatives said at the time that the procedure had been successful and that his recovery was progressing well.

Stewart began performing as a teenager and toured Europe with folk musician Wizz Jones in the early 1960s. He later played in the bands Steampacket and Shotgun Express, gained popularity as a member of the Jeff Beck Group and Faces, and achieved solo success with his 1971 album Every Picture Tells a Story, featuring the hit Maggie May. The artist has had 11 albums reach number one on the UK chart.
