Kathmandu Valley to host music evening, debate and cycling rally — Kathmandu Post

A series of cultural and public events is scheduled in Kathmandu Valley, Nepal, on September 26, 2026, including a music evening, a debate on the death penalty, a charity cycling rally, a creative workshop and an art exhibition. The programme was reported by Kathmandu Post.

Music and debate

A free intimate music evening featuring Rose will begin at 19:00 at Misfits in Kantipath. The event is part of Misfits’ monthly series showcasing emerging performers and music outside the mainstream.

ING College in New Baneshwar will host an open debate from 10:00 to 13:00 on whether the death penalty should be permitted in Nepal. Participation is free, and the format includes discussion and questions.

Cycling rally, workshop and exhibition

The Cycle Rally 2026 charity cycling event will start at 6:30 from St Xavier’s School in Jawalakhel and proceed to Godavari. All funds raised will go toward helping flood victims. The fee is 600 Nepalese rupees; participants will receive a T-shirt, lunch and a certificate.

A clay-painting workshop will take place at Le Petit Bistro in Swayambhu from 15:30 to 17:30. Participants will be able to paint and varnish a trinket tray and a keychain. The participation fee is 1,500 Nepalese rupees, including materials.

Also, until September 26, Bahadur Shah Baithak at Patan Durbar Square in Lalitpur will host a free exhibition of works by Marcel Wissing Boadi, inspired by Kathmandu and rural Nepal. The exhibition is open from 10:00 to 17:00.
