Ghana to host show featuring four generations of comedians — MyJoyOnline

Accra, Ghana, is scheduled to host the Lekzy Unleashed: The Godfather Edition comedy show on November 7, 2026, featuring representatives of four generations of Ghanaian comedians. The event will take place at the UPSA Auditorium.

According to MyJoyOnline, the evening will be hosted by Lekzy DeComic, a two-time holder of the “Comedian of the Year” title. The announced participants include Kweku Sintim-Misa, known as KSM, Clemento Suarez, Fritz Baffour, Tommy Annan-Forson, DKB, Foster Romanus, Jeneral Ntatia, Kwaku Manu and Khemikal.

Mr Beautiful, David Oscar Dogbe, Parrot Mouth, Percy Obrempong, James Brown and Jeffery Nortey are also listed in the program. Comedian Chris Mapane is expected to attend as a guest from South Africa.

The comedy evening will also feature a musical performance by Ghanaian rapper Okyeame Kwame, known as the Rap Doctor.

Pioneers of Ghanaian comedy

MyJoyOnline calls Fritz Baffour and Tommy Annan-Forson pioneers of Ghana’s comedy scene. According to the outlet, Baffour began performing stand-up in the country in 1986 together with Annan-Forson. The outlet also notes that Annan-Forson was the first to start laughing on the air of state broadcaster GBC, after which he brought humor to the stage.

Regarding KSM, MyJoyOnline writes that he held 13 completely sold-out evenings at the National Theatre. The outlet adds that Baffour and Annan-Forson supported younger comedians for many years.
