Limassol to host a series of film screenings dedicated to Lars von Trier
From September 7 to 9, the Rialto Theatre in Limassol will host EXPLICIT, a three-day series of film screenings dedicated to the work of director Lars von Trier. The programme includes five films, a panel discussion and open talks with film professionals.
As Cyprus Mail reports, the first EXPLICIT event is dedicated to films that challenged established cinematic norms. The programme will examine the relationship between art, censorship, freedom of expression and social change.
Screening programme
On September 7, Breaking the Waves (1996) will be screened at 19:00, followed by Antichrist (2009) at 21:45. Nymphomaniac (2013) is scheduled for September 8 at 19:00.

A panel discussion will take place on September 9 at 18:00. It will be followed by screenings of Dancer in the Dark and The House That Jack Built; the start times for these screenings are not specified in the announcement.
Age restrictions and tickets
All screenings are intended exclusively for viewers aged 18 and over due to the content of the films. Some films will be shown with subtitles. The open discussions will address consent, violence and artistic freedom. A ticket for one screening costs 8 euros.
