A mural titled “Riga’s Atlantis” was unveiled in an underground passage in Riga
A mural titled “Riga Atlantis” has been created in an underground passage near Riga Central Station. It is located in the tunnel connecting the city’s Central Station with Riga Central Market, according to LSM English.
Street artists Dainis Rudens, Bikti, Uman, Pinka, Kosti, and Renārs Caune worked on the piece. The mural was created on a concrete wall in the underpass near the train station.

The artwork was created as part of the Urban ReLeaf project. Project participants—Riga residents working alongside researchers—studied urban heat islands, air quality, and the importance of green spaces in the urban environment.
Urban ReLeaf runs cultural labs in six European cities. In these labs, artists, researchers, and local communities seek accessible ways to discuss climate change, the urban environment, and nature. The announcement notes that “Riga Atlantis” draws attention to the interconnection between climate change, air quality, green infrastructure, and urban development, as well as to the responsibility for the city’s future.
